Stairs, elevators and building COIs decide how an apartment move actually goes, so we ask about all three before we quote.

Many buildings in Los Angeles and Orange County want a certificate of insurance on file before a crew touches the freight elevator. We carry full insurance, and we sort the COI paperwork with your building's management ahead of move day, along with the elevator window your building allows.

A third-floor walk-up with no elevator is a crew-size question, not a refusal; the estimate accounts for the stairs before move day.

## Door Shields and Floor Runners Included

Door shields and floor runners come included on every apartment move, along with the rest of the kit: up to 8 loaner wardrobe boxes, speed-pack boxes, ramps and straps, unlimited wrap and tape, and thick moving blankets.

In a building, protection reaches past your own things. Hallway walls, lobby floors and elevator cabs stay covered while we work, which keeps your deposit intact and your manager calm.

## Apartment Moving Rates

Apartment moving rates run hourly and quote-first: crew size, hours and access set the figure, and you approve it in writing before anyone books an elevator.

Stairs and long carries add time rather than fees, which is why the estimate walk-through asks about them. Crew size is priced into that free written estimate. For applicable hourly household moves within California, actual driving time between origin and destination generally counts twice, subject to tariff exceptions. Review the travel calculation in your written estimate.

No deposit on standard bookings. Same-day and last-minute bookings may require a deposit, confirmed with your quote. The written estimate caps your final bill either way.

Baseline crew: 2 movers with a 24-ft truck (owner-confirmed). For applicable hourly moves, California Maximum Rate Tariff 4 generally counts origin-to-destination driving time twice, subject to exceptions. The written estimate identifies the not-to-exceed amount for agreed services. Confirm added items or services in a written change order before extra work begins (BHGS consumer guide and 2026 Maximum Rate Tariff 4, Item 36, checked 2026-10-08).

### How the schedule runs

Open seven days a week, 8:00am–8:00pm. Estimates are free, online or by phone. Standard bookings reschedule free; same-day and last-minute bookings may require a deposit, confirmed with the quote (AG Moving & Storage operations, 2026).
