Residential moving is whole-home work: every room, every closet, one crew from AG Moving&Storage. Since 2021 we have moved houses across Los Angeles and Orange County with free estimates and a bill that never tops the written figure.
Residential Moving in Los Angeles and Orange County
Residential moving covers houses and townhomes of every size, from a two-bedroom bungalow to a full two-story family home.
Apartment and condo moves run through their own page, where elevators and building rules get their due. And when the new house is not ready on time, crew-handled storage bridges the gap: we pick up, store and redeliver.
Your Crew and Truck
Your crew is 2 movers and a 24-ft truck on a baseline home, scaling to 3 or 4 movers when square footage and stairs demand it.
The people carrying your furniture bring six years of hands-on experience from leading national moving companies, and they work for a family-owned company that has operated since 2021.
What Every Residential Move Includes
Every residential move includes the materials that protect a house: door shields, floor runners, up to 8 loaner wardrobe boxes, speed-pack boxes, ramps and straps, unlimited wrap and tape, and thick moving blankets.
The crew shields doorways and runs floor protection before the first piece moves. Dressers keep their drawers, wrapped shut; couches travel padded and filmed; mattresses go bagged, never bare.
Residential Moving Rates
Residential moving rates at AG Moving&Storage run quote-first: hourly for most homes, flat where the route makes one figure clearer.
The moving parts stay simple. Each extra mover past the baseline adds $40 per hour. California Double Drive Time applies over 10 miles. Standard bookings reschedule free.
No deposit on standard bookings. Same-day and last-minute bookings may require a deposit, confirmed with your quote. And the estimate is a ceiling: you will not pay more than the original figure.
Where We Move Families
We move families across Los Angeles County and Orange County, with steady routes through Long Beach, Downey, Torrance, Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, Huntington Beach and the cities around our Norwalk base.
The outer ring sits on the map too: Corona, Riverside, Temecula, Murrieta, Ontario, Chino, Carlsbad and Oceanside. For a home move that ends farther inside California, the long-distance page covers the route.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge a deposit for a residential move?
No deposit on standard bookings. Same-day and last-minute bookings may require a deposit, confirmed with your quote.
Can I be charged more than my estimate?
No. The written estimate is a cap at AG Moving&Storage: the final bill stays at or under the original figure, even when a job runs longer than planned.
How many movers will my home need?
A baseline home takes 2 movers and a 24-ft truck; larger homes take 3 or 4 movers. Room count, stairs and access decide it, and the free estimate settles the crew size before move day, with each mover past the baseline at $40 per hour.
